Rewriting the Erotic Self, A Virtual Community Gathering
Certified Sexologist & Intimacy Coach, Michaela d’Artois, invited you to an intimate virtual workshop that offers a grounded, pragmatic approach to reconnecting with your erotic self through subconscious exploration and guided writing exercises.
Many of us received messaging early on — sometimes explicit, sometimes subtle — about what it means to be an erotic being, and how it can be unsafe to express ourselves in this way. Over time, these experiences often solidify into unexamined core beliefs that shape how we relate to ourselves, our bodies, and others. While often serving as self-protection as we figure out the world, these narratives can quietly limit pleasure, agency, and connection.
This workshop is an invitation to examine those inherited storylines — and consciously rewrite them.
Through a guided visualization and reflective writing practice, you’ll connect with your inner erotic self beyond external expectation or influence, and begin rescripting beliefs that no longer align with who you are now or where you’re going.
Visualization is a powerful tool for this work. Research in neuroscience and psychology shows that mental imagery activates many of the same neural pathways as lived experience — meaning the brain responds to what we vividly imagine much like what we physically experience. When used intentionally, visualization can support new emotional associations, expand possibilities, and gently rewire ingrained patterns.
In this workshop, you’ll:
Explore how early conditioning shaped your understanding of desire and erotic expression
Connect with your authentic erotic self through a guided visualization
Identify and release unhelpful internal narratives
Rewrite a more aligned, self-authored erotic storyline through a reflective writing practice
Leave with practical tools for ongoing self-connection and integration
This workshop is for you if you:
Want to understand yourself more deeply & connect with your authentic needs and desires
Seek a more aligned expression of eroticism, free from external expectations and cultural norms
Want to learn how to center yourself in pleasure rather than perform it
Are ready to examine and release old beliefs about desire that no longer serve you
Crave practical tools and exercises to integrate your erotic self into everyday life
Want to advocate for your needs and desires with confidence
Seek to connect with like-minded community
